News: Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation – Grants for the Arts Council England’s Let’s Create Jubilee Fund

The grant deadline for the Arts Council England’s Let’s Create Jubilee Fund is 4th February 2022.

The grant, managed by Hampshire & Isle of Wight Community Foundation, will support voluntary and community groups in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to develop creative and cultural activities as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in June 2022.

Criteria For Grants

General Eligibility

Projects must be for creative and cultural activities which culminate in June 2022. The fund is open to voluntary and community organisations with charitable aims and working towards a common goal which does not have to be based solely around arts and culture.

Voluntary and community groups that can apply include:

  • Organisations that have been operating for 12 months or more
  • Constituted bodies, including registered charities, CICs, CIOs, unincorporated bodies
  • Consortia – please check further guidance

The project can be planned to begin from 1st April so that preparation can take place such as rehearsals etc. Public-facing activity should take place in June near the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend. The project end date can be in August to include any evaluation and final payments.

Target Beneficiaries

Groups working in areas with highest indices of multiple deprivation will be prioritised, although there is an expectation the funding will be inclusive in its reach.

Exclusions

  • Non-constituted community or voluntary groups
  • Statutory organisations
  • Organisations that have been established less than 12 months / organisations that do not have a proven track record of service delivery
  • Limited companies, sole traders or partnerships without charitable aims
  • Grants that are solely for the provision of bursaries to individuals or families
  • Applications from individuals
  • Organisations NOT based and active in Hampshire including Portsmouth and Southampton, and Isle of Wight
  • Capital building projects
  • Organisations whose Objects are for the sole benefit or relief of animals or plants
  • National charities
  • Any party-political activity
  • Commercial ventures
  • Proselytising activities, i.e. active promotion of a specific religion or belief system

The grant also cannot cover:

  • activities that have already taken place, or to order or purchase goods or services before a decision has been made on the application
  • activity that does not culminate in June 2022
  • costs of routine activity that regularly takes place and is not adapted or enhanced to do something special as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
    contributions to appeals
  • activity promoting political or religious beliefs
  • activity which should be provided by statutory services
  • the mitigation of losses and/or debt mitigation
