As an artist, I want to develop paintings that speak both to me and to others about the beauty that I see in the world. I love to paint landscapes and townscapes, particularly scenes in my home county of Hampshire.
I am influenced greatly by artists such as Van Gogh, Kandinsky and Cezanne and use bold colours in my paintings, in the hope of capturing moods and emotions and also creating a sense of connection to a location.
I paint for the pure enjoyment of it and desire to share this joy with others.
My paintings are made by using a variety of mediums including acrylic, gouache, oil pastel, ink, collage and pencil.

I have exhibited paintings at Winchester Cathedral and also at the Business Design Centre, Islington, as winner of the Abstract and Experimental category for the Society for all Artists.

I'm an abstract painter, interested in Life Sciences. My paintings are abstractions based on Biology and Ecology. Most of my paintings start with a molecule or a process and try to express the wonder and excitement of the discovery. Larger canvases and the stories behind the work, including videos, can be seen on my website.
