Evelyn Bartlett
Seascapes, Landscapes, Portraits and Cards
Working mainly in Gouache and influenced by my graphics background, but trying new things too!
Evelyn Bartlett gained a degree in graphic design at Kingston. She moved to Devon afterwards and soon turned freelance, producing illustrations and designs for
publishers, advertisers, hotels and holiday parks.
After raising a family and living in South Devon for over 30 years, she moved to Hampshire and has been painting full-time, reviving a style she only touched on as a
student, using gouache. This strong, distinctive application owes everything to her graphic ‘roots’ and has become her signature.
The past twelve months have seen her experiment with oils and acrylic, to try out larger works; watch this space!
Evelyn has had successful exhibitions at venues in Hampshire, Dorset and Devon. She still owns a house in Exeter and frequently returns to the West Country for business and pleasure.

Mixed-Media, Acrylics, Charcoal, Oils and Collage
I am an amateur artist in the truest sense...I paint and create for the love of it. A course in acrylics at
West Dean about ten years ago set me on a path of exploration in paint, charcoal, mixed media and collage. It's a continual 'work' in progress that brings joy and peace and the chance to lose myself for hours... and get very messy.
Please visit my website and if you see something you like, even if it is sold, do get in touch as I will undertake a commission.

Lesley Stevens
Warsash, Southampton
Portraiture, Abstract and Landscape Artist specialising in Oils
With no encouragement to do art at school, despite winning first prize for my age group drawing the Black Horse for Lloyds Bank, I ended up in the City of London as an Investment Banker.
Going back to painting happened by accident, literally. A car accident forced me to stop horse riding and whilst recovering, I took up painting again, learning from various members of the Royal Academy of Art and the Royal Society of Arts.
Now my boys have flown the nest, that desire to paint has been unleashed. I have a love of portraiture, animals, birds and people but also explore abstract and landscape. Specialising in oils, I am driven by light and colour. The outdoors, particularly early mornings, the cool fresh air, gentle colours, rolling mists all provide inspiration for my work and the raw emotions that life presents are finding a release in abstract form.
