'I was looking online at options for promoting paintings and was impressed by your site and the variety of art covered.

Why was I looking? My father passed away last November and we have started to sort and clear his workshop. He originally used oil but in more recent years was converted to using acrylic as it was more convenient. He thoroughly enjoyed painting and creating scenes, many based on local villages or photographs taken on holiday.

About The Artist

I’m a full time artist based in Lindford, Hampshire, working pastels.

At at the age of 15, one of my artworks was exhibited at the Tate in London and this encouraged me to go on to study at the Norwich School of Art (now Norwich University of the Arts).

After a series of corporate roles and running my own business, I have returned full time to my original passion - creating detailed, realistic wildlife artwork and accepting commissions for equine and pet portraits.

I have a passion for all animals and they have always been a huge part of my life. I particularly enjoy using pastels as they allow you to build up the layers and intensity of colour, before finally adding all the details. I try to capture the spirit of the animal, to really bring the piece to life.
