About The Artist

Wendy Jelbert has been a teacher for over 35 years, a commissioned author of 41 art instructional books and has made 12 art DVDs for Television and the commercial world.

She is a demonstrator and lecturer to Art Societies and has taught in many of the top residential colleges including West Dean College, Missenden Abbey, London, and Dedham Hall Essex. She is an accredited demonstrator for Daler Rowney, Faber Castell, Caran D'ache and Winsor and Newton.

She finds that nature in all its guises and moods is a vital stimulus for her work. Travelling abroad and widely in the British Isles, has enriched her sphere of subject matter, colours and atmospheric effects.
She is pleased to accept commissions in Watercolours, Acrylics, Pen, Line and Wash or Mixed Media, on most subjects, such as your home, children in Rock Pools, or a favourite village, beauty spot or Coastal Scene.
She comes from an artistic family where her mother, grandmother, husband, children and grandchildren are also painters; some professional and some prize winners!

Art Groups / Exhibitions

During Wendy's career as a professional artist she has exhibited for the Women’s Society of Artists, The International Floral Society of Artists and The Society of Acrylic Painters. These exhibitions have been country-wide, including The Mall and Westminster Galleries, London, The First View Gallery, Stourhead, John Bourne Gallery, Reigate and St. Ives Society of Artists. She is delighted to have won many prizes throughout her career including awards at the S.W.A. Westminster, London, The Wessex Gallery, The Bursledon Art Show and The Lee Gallery, Romsey.
